ADHD
How I understand it:
Living with ADHD can often felt like playing life on “hard mode.” For me, it isn’t just about getting distracted — it’s about struggling to start tasks unless the conditions are just right, constantly losing track of time, and feeling drained from trying to keep up with a world that runs on different rules. Your hyperactivity isn’t always visible; instead, it shows up as racing thoughts, restless energy, and a mind that never switches off. You also feel emotions more intensely than most, which means rejection or criticism can hit especially hard. ADHD is exhausting, but it’s also shaped your creativity, resilience, and determination. You can learned to manage your brain with strategies and compassion —
and I want others to know that while ADHD brings challenges, it also brings unique strengths.
How I will be working with you:
When I work with neurodivergence, I recognize that it rarely comes on its own. ADHD, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence are often accompanied by anxiety, depression, or behavioral challenges such as body-focused repetitive behaviors. These aren’t separate problems to be “fixed” in isolation — they’re part of how a neurodivergent brain navigates the world, especially in environments not designed with you in mind (your workplace, your study place..).
My approach is not about trying to convert anyone into a “neurotypical version” of themselves. Instead, I focus on helping people understand their own brains, reduce distress, and develop strategies that allow them to thrive as they are. Neurodivergence comes with challenges, but also with creativity, depth, and unique strengths. My role is to support clients in managing the hard parts while also embracing the value of their authentic selves.
Still waiting for an NHS diagnosis:
I know how long the wait can be to get a formal neurodiversity diagnosis. But a diagnosis isn’t required to work with me. Whether you have one or not, I will support you in the same way — helping you adapt to a world and systems mostly designed for neurotypical people. Together, we can find strategies to navigate both professional and personal life with more confidence and balance.
